BMW Z4 2019 Review

To some who have reviewed this car states that it should have been called the Z3 instead of the Z4 because it is a reincarnation of the first roadster, the Z3 that rolled off the assembly line in the mid 1990’s. There are mixed reviews, both good and bad, in regards to the BMW Z4.

The Z4 has gotten rid of the hardtop that was retractable and replaced it with a soft top that is operated electronically. While this new soft top gets rid of the unsightly cut lines to give it a more elegant silhouette along with a fifty percent increase in cargo space with the top being down there is one major drawback. The blind spot in the rear almost doubles in size with the top up.

With the BMW Z4 you should not expect to find rear-wheel steering or air springs because the all wheel-drive was never considered in order to keep the weight of the car in the three thousand to three thousand two hundred pound bracket. It comes with the stand seventeen inch when but there is an option to upgrade them to nineteen inch wheels. With the bigger wheels they are offered with bigger brakes.

This has been a joint project between Toyota and BMW and is the third generation of the BMW Z4. With this partnership the cars of both companies will be built at a neutral site and will share the BMW’s engines. They will also do a coupe version for the Japanese later this year. Some of the features of the BMW Z4 will include:

•  The buyer will have a choice between a six and four cylinder engine
•  The base model is the sDrive 20i that is powered by a four-cylinder engine 2.0 lite with two hundred pound-foot torque and one hundred eighty horsepower.
•  There will also be a s30i that will have the same engine but will have two hundred fifty-eight pound-foot of torque and two hundred forty-eight horse power
•  There will also be a Z4 M40i that will have three hundred forty pound-foot torque and three hundred twenty horse power
•  It will have a six-speed manual gearbox
•  A lower center of gravity
•  It has a long clamshell hood
•  Across the doors to the rear lip spoiler you will see bold body lines.
•  Side gills
•  The back end is rounded
•  Has narrow taillights
•  Lower vents
•  Mesh grill design

There will be no Z4 M as it will require too much plastic surgery and mechanical issues to fix to justify the price. The First Edition model has some unique features such as it comes with a Frozen Orange Metallic color with other features that include:

•  Two-tone design nineteen inch alloy wheels
•  Mirror caps in black
•  LED headlights that are adaptive
•  Two digital displays that are high resolution
•  Head-up display
•  A Harman Kardon surround sound system
•  Ambient light
•  Speedometer has a color screen
