Aston Martin DB11 2017

DB11 2017 is the first among seven new cars to be unveiled by Aston Martin. Expect all the trappings of a modern Aston. The DB11 continues Aston Martin’s tradition of unmatched blending of power and style rivalling the likes of Bentley and Ferrari.

The automaker has implemented a number of impressive changes, making an ideal replacement for the DB9. The vehicle bears much resemblance to its predecessor on the outside but is a bit roomier when it comes to the cabin space. The car boasts great advancements when it comes to the drivetrain that will definitely tune both the regular motorist and supercar enthusiasts.

Exterior Design 

The 2017's make has its body designed to great precisions and with an impressive outward appearance. Of course, it is very sporty, with smaller LED headlamps and attractive front grille. The new Aston Martin DB11 is wide, long and low just like the predecessor but with a clamshell bonnet and the innovative Aston Martin Aero blade design to ensure air flows smoothly through the car’s bodywork.

Air intakes are located at the base of the C-Pillar, where the car’s body meets the floating roofline. The air intakes channel air to the engine through a slot located on top of the deck lid and finally to the engine. A broken front wheel arch line is an important departure from Aston’s coupe typical flow.

Interior Design 

The interior of the DB11 is a beautiful private space. Natural materials, craftsmanship, and state-of-the-art infotainment technology provide the ultimate in comfort and convenience. To give the DB11 a unique and intrigue upscale ambience, the automaker has adopted the use of fine leather stitching on the seats, dashboard and the steering wheel. The car comes with six standard trim finishes and twenty-eight standard leather colour options. You can choose between piano black, open-pore woods and two carbon fibre styles for the trim finishes. You get 12-inch digital instrument display alongside an 8.0-inch info and entertainment screen.

Also, get ready for a modern and stylish centre stack featuring leather-upholstered steering wheel and clearly marked contemporary switches and controls. The steering column allows for height adjustments. Thanks to steering wheel switches, drivers can now easily toggle between GT, Sport and Sports Plus. Other standard features include automatic climate control, premium air conditioner, quality sound system and safety equipment like lane-departure system, automatic emergency braking system among others.  

Engine and Performance

The DB11 2017 comes with a new twin turbocharged 5.2-litre V12 engine, the most powerful DB production model in Aston Martin’s history. Capable of delivering a total of 600 horsepower and 518 lb-ft, it is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission system. When it comes to acceleration, the Aston Martin DB11 only requires 3.9 seconds to sprint from 0 to 62 miles per hour. Top speed is estimated to be about 201 mph. The V-12 engine is a perfect replacement for the old naturally aspirated 5.9-liter version powering the Vanquish model.
