Honda CB300R 2018

The motorcycle world is in for a real treat with the all new Honda CB300R. High-tech and small-capacity are coming together in this fantastic new Honda Powersports motorcycle. Adapted to look like it’s big brother the CB1000R, this little beast of a bike is sleek and stylish, as well as very modern and full of surprises for a bike its size.

Retro has been coming back with a vengeance in the last few years, and this bike is a fine example of retro style being meshed in with modern finishes. The end results of which are producing something that is oddly familiar but still expressive and new. Sharp lines that cut out the body, the creased tanks and of course the round headlights make for a very stylish motorcycle. We have seen the same refreshments of old-school designs from other major manufacturers such as Husqvarna, Ducati and now Honda has jumped on the same bandwagon, to which no one is complaining about. 

Just like it’s big bro the CB1000R Honda has used it’s tried and tested steel-trellis frame, and both bikes are equipped with the 41mm upside-down fork, single-piston calliper rear brake on a 220mm disc, four-piston four front brakes on a floating 296mm disc, and a very convenient and practical preload-adjustable monoshock. This is a great bike for long distance travelling comfortably, and with all the upgrades and new standards it is setting, it is a perfect choice for the person who loves to hit the highway and go where ever it leads as well as city living.

This thing is a power plant, literally using a similar engine as the previous model CBR300R available in the USA, this bike is rocking a glorious six-speed transmission to prove that it is not all talk. Unfortunately, as of yet, the 2018 CB300R will not be released in the USA, and Honda has explained to the desperate dealers who want to stock this bike that they are waiting for the entire line of 2019 models to be ready first. Frustrating, yes, but don’t fret it’s coming. In the meantime, read on and build the excitement. This beast is weighing in at only 315 pounds which is a significant drop compared to the CB300F at 354 and CBR300R at 364 pounds.) You know what that means, lightweight = epic performance advantage! Add to that with the fact that aa free-revving 286cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine and the classy style, well now you have got yourself a sporty Honda that is getting Motorcycle fans revved up and ready to rush to their closest Honda dealer’s the day this thing hits the floor.

Well to say the least, if this is the way 2018 is going to start, with a fantastic model of this little Honda streetfighter, then I think it’s safe to say we are in store for a whole lot of exciting new bikes, cars and who knows what else. LCD instrument displays and all the other perks that were only usually ever found on the bigger bikes are a thing of the past. Equipped with full LED lighting and the rubber mounted aluminium handle bars the Honda CB300R is appealing aesthetically, economically, and environmentally.
