Thailand has a long history of so-called Grey Market car importation. Grey Market refers to the legal importation of autos and trucks outside normal sales channels and the carmaker’s official distribution system. The promoters of [the 6th Bangkok Imported & used car show] have gone to pains to assure the public that all the cars on sale at the exhibition, both new and used, have undergone all necessary safety and quality checks and all import taxes on the cars are up to date as well, so buyers can purchase without fear of any tax or regulatory surprises down the road.
