Available with 2 different engine power plants (a 1.5 L four-cylinder engine and a 1.0 L eco-boost 3 cylinder engine), the brand-new Ford EcoSport is one of the most impressive smaller sized SUVs on the road today.

Regardless of whether you match either of those two engines to the manual transmission or the automatic transmission, you’re going to find each of those engines to be powerful, responsive, and snappy as far as acceleration and top end speed are concerned.

Interior and exterior styling

Essentially a shrunken down Ford Escape (stylistically, anyway), the Ford EcoSport is a unique blend of futuristic styling and Ford engineering that produces a vehicle that looks like it has been sent back in time.

Everything about the vehicles design is aggressive, stylish, and very, very contemporary – and you won’t have any trouble whatsoever picking this vehicle out of a packed parking lot. It will turn heads on the road for sure thanks to its almost flawless exterior styling, and while you cruise around you’ll be able to enjoy a well-appointed interior loaded with modern technology.

Navigation systems, Bluetooth connectivity for phones and other media devices, a rear backup camera, and a handful of other extras are included as standard equipment across all variants. There are also multiple accessories that you can purchase as “add-on items” as well.

Drive performance and ride

Depending upon the engine that you decide to go with, you’re going to either enjoy instant acceleration and high-speed top-end performance or slightly slower acceleration – but the same top-end performance!

Obviously, the 1.54 L engine is a bit snappier than the 1.0 L 3 cylinder engine – and the diesel is probably the snappiest of them all! Fuel efficiency is great across the board, and the suspension has been tuned much more like a larger sedan within a smaller SUV to give you a considerably smoother ride than you might expect.

Easy to drive, a lot of fun to own, and dropdead gorgeous, you’ll also be able to take advantage of some serious fuel efficiency when you own the Ford EcoSport. Though there are a couple of drawbacks, none of them are deal breakers, and this is definitely one of the better SUVs out there today!
