BMW X1 2016

The very first BMW X1 definitely took those in the automobile industry by surprise, not only in the fact that BMW would release such a compact SUV in the first place - but also that it would go on to be so successful so quickly.

Well, the folks in Bavaria were definitely paying attention, and have decided to roll out a second generation of the oh so popular BMW X1. The 2016 version is about to hit the market, and people couldn’t be more excited!

Overall Design

As far as the overall design of the BMW X1 2016 version is concerned, not all that much has changed outside of a shorter overhang and a longer wheelbase to improve overall looks and stability (respectively).

The exterior has been touched up just a little bit to make this vehicle slightly more aggressive, and the interior is just as plush and well designed as the first version was. It doesn’t get a whole lot better than BMW, anyway.

Performance Specs

In the performance department, the BMW X1 2016 version definitely hits it out of the park as well.

Available in a variety of different engine configurations (each of which is mated to beautifully designed transmissions), you can expect this vehicle to get anywhere between 16 miles per gallon and almost 30 miles per gallon (city/highway) depending upon the configuration that you decide to go forward with.

Standout Features

Of all the different standout features that the BMW X1 2016 version brings to the table, the most impressive – and most “game changing” would have to be the inclusion of the new BMW Heads Up Display.

This is information projected directly onto the front windshield using hologram technology, providing drivers with instant access to all of the most important information they need while driving without them ever having to take their eyes off of the road.

Safety and Efficiency

The BMW HUD definitely plays up the safety and efficiency features, but it would be remiss to ignore the fact that this BMW crossover SUV is significantly lighter (by almost 200+ pounds) and takes advantage of even bigger and more advanced braking mechanisms. You won’t ever have to worry about stopping when you’re driving this vehicle.
