Triumph Thruxton R Review
This standard motorcycle has a 4-stroke, 2 cylinder parallel twin engine. It has an electric starter and uses regular gas with a 3.8 gallon fuel capacity. The Triumph Thruxton R has a manual transmission with 6-speed. Both the front and rear brakes are hydraulic disc, the front ones are dual.
With the Triumph Thruxton R it has a 1200cc high output engine but still looks like the iconic café racer style. It is a combination of style and performance without the need for constant maintenance to keep it on the road like previous modelsใ
Two of the most defining style pieces of the Triumph Thruxton R are the long café seat and the lengthy tank. With the way the seat is shaped and its length it allows the rider to sit in different positions comfortably. You can also adjust the seat for upright riding or a more aggressive style of riding. The rear set foot controls make it easy hanging off the motorcycle in the turns easy and nice
With the new 1200cc engine being completely reworked it will give a big bump in power. It will give you a forty-one percent increase in horsepower and a sixty-two percent increase in torque. This is the motorcycle that has the potential to turn riding back into a sport but on the other end of the spectrum it has the class and style for a mellow cruise if that is what you prefer.
Once you have the motorcycle running you hit the starter button to take you to one of the ride modes; sport, rain, and road. There is also an electronics package that includes ABS and traction control, which can be turned off when not needed. Another added feature is the locking filler gas cap that is hidden under the Monza type gas cap.
