According to the "Certificate of the VW Museum", the car was completed in Wolfsburg on 19-th September 1968. On 10-th october the car was delivered to Thailand. The model is 114 021 - VW 1300 (Ident. Nr. 119 187 317).
In 1974 the car get a new engine 1600 ccm.
This Year, the car had 50th birthday on 19-th september 2018.
The car was completely disassembled after purchasing in december 2011 and rebuilt. The works needs round about 2 Years.
All spare parts were imported from Germany (value approx. 20.000 Euro). The engine was generally overhauled in the VW workshop in Bangkok. Later, the car was still optimized in a VW workshop in Hua Hin.The total costs was round about 1.5 Mio. BHT.
The car is in impeccable condition and has run 11.000 km after its renovation. The car is certainly unique in Thailand.
The built-in air conditioning is new and interior trim and seats were made in Germany with Porsche leather. Further the car has Porsche rims (Fuchs), old-timer radio Blaupunkt, solar screen in blue, original roof bearer in chrom.
There are a lot of spare parts available. The car runs and work perfect and the service was done. The car is insured and taxed until March 2019.

Herbie is the name of a pearly white VW Beetleas the "main actor" of a movie series of the Walt Disney Studios.
Characteristic is the start number "53" on the bonnet, boonet and doors and the asymmetrical red-white-blue longitudinal stripe on the left half of the car.
The first film, "A Great Beetle (The Love Bug), was made in 1968 and is still one of Disney`smost successful real-life-films.
